The National DNA Bank of Spain becomes part of Carlos III Health Institute

From October 16th 2010, the National DNA Bank became part of a stable structure of cooperative research of Carlos III Health Institute. From that day onwards, the complete name of the National DNA Bank is NETWORK PLATFORM OF THE NATIONAL DNA BANK CARLOS III (NDNAB-ISCIII) . The main aim of the NDNAB-ISCIII platform is to consolidate the National DNA Bank as a Biobank of reference both at national and international level, ensuring researchers the quality and quantity of the samples requested; as well as promoting not only the ethical use of the samples stored at the National DNA Bank but also the scientific interest of the projects that requested them.
