Título: Study on whole genome association in Rheumatoid Arthritis within the Spanish population
IP: Dra. Sara Marsal
Resumen del proyecto: Rheumatoid Arthritis is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects mainly the joints and is a major cause of disability. The actual project is a whole genome population-based case-control association study of Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA).
Once the candidate RA susceptibility SNPs are determined through the whole genome association analysis, it is an indispensable condition to perform a replication study in an independent sample to validate the association with the disease. The request to Spanish DNA Bank is directed to obtain an adequate replication sample to confirm the association of SNPs with the susceptibility to develop RA.
