Validation of addictive disorders associated biomarkers

Previous studies on the identification of addiction biomarkers have led to suggest some candidates to be further validated for the improvement of addiction diagnosis, treatment and prevention of relapse to drug abuse. In this context, the present work is aimed to validate selected polymorphisms of H3HR, CARTPT, CLU and MDK genes (together with clusterin and midkine levels in biological fluids) as biomarkers of alcohol, cocaine, tobacco and food addiction.
